Dramatisation and narrative in late Byzantine dialogues: Manuel II Palaiologos’s "On Marriage" and Mazaris’ "Journey to Hades"
Original language description
The article discusses the use of dramatization techniques and embedded narratives in two late Byzantine dialogues. I argue that, unlike in other contemporary dialogues, these dialogues made use of theatrical features in order to emphasize their authors'intention to broadcast a message addressed to a broader audience.
