Original language description

The basic goal of the workshop is to develop word-formational networks with regard to derivation, but having also taken into account the so-called conversion. Related goal is to determine what conversion is and what conversion is not. The usual problem is to search for the boundary between inflection and derivation, but what is in question here is rather the boundary between derivation and conversion. Generally conversion is a morphological, formally non-additive process with onomasiological/word-formational function whose central formant is a change in morphological characteristics. Although conversion serves as an important word-formational process, the naming process itself is triggered by syntactic needs .
