Jacques Bénigne Bossuet (1627-1704) spirituality is consistent with his philosophical treatment of the human soul. From the perspective of Bossuet's instruction to the Dauphin, this is philosophically meaningful, for we saw the nature of God's procedural creation. The act of creation is described as following principles, whereby human nature comes from a twofold principle, the one being material and the other self-referential to God. Bussuet the preacher has an identifiable philosophy that strives to reconcile physicalist science and the care for the soul.
