The aim of the study is to describe changes in the discourse of film and television representations of history in Czech society following the creation of Czechoslovakia in 1918 until the present day, and interpret these in the context of political changes of the 20th century Czech history (1918–1938; 1939–1945; 1945–1948; 1948–1960, 1960–1968; 1969–1989; 1989–2019).
