The originally conference contribution concerns itself with the field of new choreography deeply influenced by dance conceptualism. After the introduction propositions referring to this radical phase of changes in dance choreography, the contribution is aimed at the analysis of the choreographic performance Magical; the stereotypes ingrained in feminist performance art is discussed as well as the meta-reflective level of dance solo as an artistic genre and form of Magical as an re-enactment. The contribution is conceived as a discursive analysis which points out the changes of dispositif in the process of politicization of the female body in art and the shifts of identity in particular.
