A two-day international interdisciplinary conference attended by 22 speakers from six countries (Italy, Great Britain, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic).The conference was held within the project &quot;Research into representations of intercultural contacts in Czech travelogue texts from the Mediterranean up to 1918, using digital humanities (Cooperation partnership in higher education Erasmus+; 2022-1-CZ01-KA220-HED-000085765). Attention was paid to geographic research of travelogue texts, possibilities of displaying routes recorded in travelogue texts on digital maps, issues of representation of alterity in travelogue texts from the 15th century to 1918, manuscripts of Czech travelogues from the 17th and 18th centuries, and Czech, German, Croatian, British, Italian travelogue texts from the Mediterranean region in relation to issues of imagology and ideology.
