The aim of the Current Trends in Central European Research of Modern History, Politics and Culture workshop was to provide a platform where students and teachers from different institutions in Central and Eastern Europe could meet to discuss new trends in research on modern history, politics and culture in their respective geographical areas. The programme was conceived as an intensive interdisciplinary one-week meeting, where new trends of research were presented in the form of lectures, workshops and interactive sessions.An important part of the workshop was the international student conference &quot;Current Trends in Central European Research of Modern History, Politics and Culture&quot;, in which 18 MA and PhD students from seven Central and Eastern European countries participated. The one-day conference was organized with the aim to develop reserach and communicative competences of the students. The participatns presented the results of their research concerning the current trends in research of modern history, politics and culture. The conference contributions were divided into four panels, entitled Microhistories; International Relations, Comparative Perspectives and Culture Diversity; Identities; and Digitalization, AI, Media and Memories. Represented were: Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, ELTE in Budapest, Hungary, Sofia University St Kliment Ohridski, Bulgaria, Babes-Bolayi University in Cluj, Romania, Luigj Gurakuqi Shkodra University, Albania and Palacký University Olomouc. The conference enabled to develop interdisciplinary approaches and enhance students´international competences.The overall aim of the workshop was to enhance the research skills of the participants as well as to provide an opportunity to discuss the possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation.The lectures introduced the participants to current issues in the field of political science, history and culture of Central Europe and the workshops aimed at providing practical skills that the participants could immediately put to practice. Interactive modules dealt with European identity and the values that shape it, with the aim of strengthening active citizenship and participation in democratic processes. The programme also responded to the rapid advance of digitisation and the emergence of new methodologies in the humanities, thus developing the AI competences of the participants.The workshop was attended by 18 MA and PhD students and 13 academics from seven universities in seven coutnries of Central and Eastern Europe. Represented were: Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, ELTE in Budapest, Hungary, Sofia University St Kliment Ohridski, Bulgaria, Babes-Bolayi University in Cluj, Romania, Luigj Gurakuqi Shkodra University, Albania and Palacký University Olomouc.The programme prepared was very intensive, also reflecting in some ways the different needs of the students and academics, but always in a way that contributed to the growth of their research skills. The participants were very actively involved in the programme, either in discussions or in workshops and interactive sessions. Feedback from participants was obtained anonymously via the online platform Mentimeter.com. Participants particularly appreciated: the high quality and professional lectures, the enrichment with new research methods, the acquisition of practical skills useful for their future direction. They also appreciated the inspiring and collaborative environment, the openness of the participants, the interactivity, inclusiveness and networking opportunities.From the feedback:&quot;When I applied, I thought it would be something full of boring lectures and seminars. But luckily it was the complete opposite.&quot;&quot;It showed me new directions to pursue my academic career and allowed me to learn about interesting research programs.&quot;&quot;My notes from this event are almost equivalent to two years of a master&apos;s program at home.&quot;
