On 10 October 2025, the symposium "Karel van Mander and his Time" took place in the Olomouc Archdiocesan Museum. The symposium was organised in connection with the opening of the exhibition "Životy. Umělci perem Karla van Mandera", that takes place from 9 October 2025 till 11 January 2026 in the Olomouc Museum of Art. At the symposium papers were presented by Miroslav Kindl (Olomouc Museum of Art), organiser of the exhibition, Olga Kotková (National Gallery, Prague), Marcin Polkowski (John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin), Hans Beelen (Carl von Ossietzky University, Oldenbrug), Wilken Engelbrecht (Palacký University & Catholic University of Lublin) and finally Zuzana Henešová (Olomouc Museum of Art) and Ivana Svobodová (Olomouc), who translated the "Schilder-Boeck" of Karel van Mander into Czech (published 3 October 2025 by Argo in Prague). The symposium took place within the international "Week van het Nederlands" (Week of Dutch Language).
