Civilisational populism is readily observable in the Turkish politics. This study analyses how the ruling political parties in Turkey (Islamist Justice and Development Party and ultra-nationalist Nationalist Action Party) reframe extant civilisational ideas into a populist format to reproduce civilisational populism for ideological and pragmatic reasons. The research implements a two-level analysis of civilisational populism.
