The contribution is focuses on the status of the Charter in some member states on the basis of Protocol No. 30 on the application of the Charter of fundamental rights of the EU in Poland and in the United Kingdom. Especially it is focused on the legal and political reasons for the adoption of the Protocol and also examines an effects of this document in the relationship to charter, especially looking for the response on the question, whether they are the opt-outs or the merely the interpreatation ruleswhich do not affect the Charter at the territory of the Great Britain, Poland and the Czech Republic.
