This book is one of the main outcomes of the research project "Experiences with Implementation and Application of EU Law within Visegrad Countries" held by the Faculty of Law in Olomouc. There four main areas of EU environmental law covered - waste law,nature protection law (Natura 2000), environmental impact assessment and access to justice in environmental matters. Each topic is covered from the perspective of each of the Visegrad countries, plus the book includes general chapters on the background of each of these countries, on the implementation of EU law and conclusion.
