The chapter deals with different aspects of protection of immovables in the Czech Republic. The protection and its problems were demonstrated on particular cases concerning for example protection of land owners, possessors, or land tenants against intrudors or nuisance. Some attention was given to public law issues as well, e. g. questions of public health, rights of Police, or building law. Protection measures were described primarily from the perspective of the New Civil Code. However some comperisionto the old one was done too. Thus the shift to other traditional European systems is quite apparent. Moreover the settlement of cases reveals the older case law used for such settlement.
