Original language description
Chapter discusses the prospects of technology revolution within the V4 countries. The main aim is to explore these countries and to identify factors supportive or disruptive to technology revolution. How do individual V4 countries stand in comparison to each other and to the rest of the EU? Where are the prospects for improving or unblocking the prospects for technology revolution? May these countries become world leaders in terms of technology? This chapter is structured as follows: the first part discusses various approaches in measuring technological development, the second part offers a comparative analysis of technology development of the V4 countries, revealing their similarities and differences in various fields, especially in regard to research and development, education and digitalization.
