Quantum statistics of contradirectional Kerr nonlinear couplers
Original language description
We study contradirectional couplers composed of two linearly coupled nonlinear Kerr waveguides. Intensity-dependent equations of motion are approximately solved, using a short-length coupler as an analogue of reference device. It is demonstrated that theswitching is accompanied by quantum effects, such as two-mode squeezing of vacuum fluctations and photon antibunching in single modes.
