Original language description

The species of the genus Leptotrichalus Kleine, 1925 from Sumatra, Borneo and continental Asia are considered. Two new species are described: Leptotrichalus bistriatus, sp. n. (Sumatra) and L. similis, sp. n. (Sumatra, Malay Peninsula, Thailand and Borneo). L. basalis Pic, 1929 and L. pervicax Kleine, 1939 are proposed to be junior synonyms of L. cyaniventris (Kirsch, 1875).
