On the level of individual genotypes the interaction between morphotypes of Cucurbita pepo and both cucumber downy mildew and powdery mildew of cucurbits was compared. The resistance of host morphotypes was evaluated after artificial inoculation in a cultivation chamber. The influence of place and way of Cucurbita pepo morphotypes evolution on their interaction with both mildews is discussed.
