To date there are no data on variation and distribution of race-specific resistance to B. lactucae in populations of L. serriola (prickly lettuce). Present research was focused on variation of resistance to B. lactucae within and between 50 populations of L. serriola in four European countries (Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands and United Kingdom). L. serriola samples were investigated for their resistance against 10 isolates (races) of B. lactucae. Populations of L. serriola were found as extremelyvariable from the viewpoint of their resistance to B. lactucae and there were also clear differences in recognized resistance phenotypes and their diversity among individual investigated distribution areas. However, race-specific resistance was the mostcommon in studied populations of L. serriola. Preliminary genetical interpretation of recorded resistance data has been done but for more precise characterization of the studied L. serriola samples further resistance studies are needed

Výskyt rasově specifické rezistence k Bremia lactucae v genových zdrojích Lactuca serriola pocházejících ze 4 evropských zemí

V současné době chybí poznatky o variabilitě a distribuci rasově specifické rezistence vůči plísni salátové v přírodních populacích L. serriola. Výzkum byl zaměřený na studium variability rezistence 50 populací L. serriola vyskytujících se ve čtyřech evropských zemích (Česká republika, Spolková republika Německo, Nizozemí, Velká Británie). Vzorky jednotlivých populací L. serriola byly testovány na rezistenci vůči vybraným 10 izolátům (rasám) B. lactucae. Byla zjištěna velká variabilita rezistence studovaných populací L. serriola, přičemž byly prokázány značné rozdíly ve struktuře a zastoupení fenotypů rezistence v jednotlivých oblastech Evropy. Naše výsledky ale ukazují, že v evropských populacích L. serriola je nejběžnější rasově specifická rezistence. Byla provedena rovněž předběžná genetická interpretace získaných dat. Přesnější charakterizace studovaných populací L. serriola ale bude vyžadovat další a rozsáhlejší rezistenční studium.
