A contribution to the knowledge of the diatoms in Polesie National Park (Poland).
Original language description
The research of diatom flora of Polesie National Park was carried out in July 1999. Samples of planktic and periphytic algae were collected at 7 localities (lakes and fishponds) using standard methods. Selected environmental variables (pH, oxygen, temperature, conductivity) were measured in situ using mobile instruments (WTW company). Phosphates, nitrates, nitrites, ammonium and other ions were checked with a DR 2000 spectrophotometer by HACH. Diatom frustules were mounted in Pleurax and identified according to KRAMMER & LANGE-BERTALOT (1986, 1988, 1991a,b).
