    The paper deals with the vegetation of stony walls (walltops, vertical wall surfaces) in Central Moravia (the Czech Republic).In total, 280 species of vascular plants and 44 species of mosses wereidentified in 223 recorded relevés. Flora of walls is composed of ahigh number of accidental species. Only two species (Poa compressa,Taraxacum sect. Ruderalia) were frequently recorded on walls. Due tohigh floristic heterogeneity, communities were classified only at thelevel of higher syntaxa. In total, 12 communities were reported on thestudied walls. Communities on wall tops were dominated by Poacompressa, P. palustris subsp. xerotica, P. nemoralis, P. angustifolia,Conyza canadensis, Epilobium angustifolium, Sambucus racemosa,Rubus idaeus, Chelidonium majus, Urtica dioica and Trifolium repens.Communities dominated by Pseudofumaria lutea, Cymbalariamuralis, Asplenium ruta-muraria, A. trichomanes and Cystopteris fragiliswere identified on vertical wall surfaces.
