Molecular tests to determine Candidatus Phytoplasma pyri presence in psyllid vectors from a pear tree orchard in the Czech Republic ? a preliminary report.

  • Original language description

The frequency of pear decline ? positive insects Cacopsylla pyri, C. pyrisuga and C. pyricola in pear tree orchard in the Czech Republic has been studied. This is preliminary report. Studies on occurrence of potential psyllid vectors of PD phytoplasma have been conducted in pear tree orchard managed according within Integrated Pear Production in eastern Bohemia. The insects were captured on pear trees in two as for-weekly intervals during the vegetative season in 2006. Phytoplasmas in psyllid samples were detected by PCR/RFLP. Cacopsylla pyri, C. pyrisuga and C. pyricola were identified in surveyed orchard, but were detected very low-level psyllids positive PCR to PD.

Molekulární determinace přítomnosti Candidatus Phytoplasma pyri v psylid vektorech vyskytujících se v hrušňových sadech v České republice.
