The oldest Miocene Bryozoa from the Carpathian Foredeep
Original language description
Shallow boreholes in the village Přemyslovice yield rich foraminiferal and bryozoan fauna. According to biostratigraphic study of foraminiferal association, the Bryozoa represent the oldest known assemblage from the Carpathian Foredeep. The species composition of bryozoan association is generally the same as from the other localities from Carpathian Foredeep. It however differs in presence of few taxa Mollia pateniara, Cribelopora lategastra and Phoceana sp., which are rare or missing elsewhere. Paleoenvironment can be characterized by muddy substratum with suboxic conditions in sediment, stenohaline and deep over 100 m.
