Reaction of Folia Phoniatrica et Logopaedica on the Current Trend of Impact Factor Measures.
Original language description
Some universities, especially in Europe, started to apply criteria that discourage their scientists from publishing in special journals with an insufficiently high Impact Factor. This article provides background on the current situation and simultaneously applies a citation strategy on papers published in Folia Phoniatrica et Logopaedica (FPL) in order to increase the Impact Factor of the journal. Information on the number of FPL articles published in 2005-6, their distribution per country and their categorization in scientific topics is offered here, as well as the FPL publication statistics, manuscript acceptance rate and the publication times.
