BFAtool is an implementation of several new algorithms for binary/boolean factor analysis (BFA). These algorithms were described in scientific papers published in recent years. Also some test data files are included with program to let anybody try it easily. BFAtool can be used freely, but no changes are allowed. BFA is analysis of binary matrix data where classical factor anaylsis doesn't work well due to binariness of data. The program takes input data in a binary matrix and its goal si to find similarities or boolean correlations in the data. These similarities and correlations are used to define a small set of factors, i.e. a typical subset of data which is repeated in dataset often. Then it describes the same information as in large input data matrix using just a few factors. BFAtool offers: - BFA algorithms Blind Search, Formal Concepts Search, Genetic algorithm GABFA, Random trials - Gradient descent as additional optimization - Can use dual core cpu to make computation twice as
