Resistance to fenarimol, dinocap, benomyl, thiophanate-methyl and azoxystrobin in cucurbit powdery mildew populations in the Czech Republic

  • Original language description

Efficacy of the tested fungicides (Rubigan 12 EC /fenarimol/, Karathane LC /dinocap/, Fundazol 50 WP /benomyl/, Topsin M 70WP /thiophanate-methyl/, Ortiva /azoxystrobin/) towards 123 CPM isolates (66 Gc, 57 Px) from Czech Republic varied significantly during the studied years 2007-2010. Differences in frequency of resistant/tolerant response of CPM strains against Karathane LC /dinocap/ and Ortiva (azoxystrobin) were found. Rubigan 12 EC /fenarimol/ was nearly 100% effective. Karathane LC /dinocap/ expressed also the high level of effectiveness. Nevertheless, the strains of both CPM species with tolerance to the lowest tested dinocap-concentration, eventually concentration 1x higher, were found during the studied period. Fundazol 50 WP /benomyl/ and Topsin M 70 WP /thiophanate-methyl/ were totally ineffective. Fungicide Ortiva /azoxystrobin/ showed decreased efficacy. In the year 2010, frequency of CPM strains resistant to all screened azoxystrobin-concentrations has increased in both
