Two interesting weevil species were found in Southern Moravia in the Czech Republic. Bagous bagdatensis Pic, 1904 is recorded for the first time from the Czech Republic. Gymnetron rotundicolleGyllenhal, 1838 was already reported from Bohemia and now it is given as a new species for Moravia. Veronica chamaedrys is reported as a newly discovered host plant of G. rotundicolle in the Czech Republic
