    Small Molecules Penetration Through Membranes

  • Original language description

Here we report on development of methodology for the calculation of partition and diffusion coefficients of permeants in lipid bilayers, composed namely ofphosphatidylcholineorceramide. The methodology is based on molecular dynamics simulations and it isintended to represent one part of a larger project targeted at calculating bioavailability of permeants via skin absorption. The developed methodology was tested on a set of molecules provided by Procter and Gamble.
