Design of experiment for hysteresis loops measurement

  • Original language description

Hysteresis loop measurements are frequently used to assess the magnetic quality of a nanomaterial under an external magnetic field. Based on the values of the hysteresis parameters,it is possible to decide whether the nanomaterial meets requirement of agiven application. Int his work,we present a new approach to the measurement of the hysteresis loop based on the theory of optima lexperimental design. We show that the maximin efficient design leads to are ductionin the measurements costs when compared to the standard equispaced measurement design. Moreover, asignificantly higher accuracy in the estimation of hysteresis parametersis reached within abroad range of plausible values. The functionality of the proposed approach is successfull ytested consideringrea lexperimental data obtained from the hysteresis loop measurements oft the ?-Fe2O3 phase. The measuremen tprocedure can be easily adapted to any magnetic nanomaterial for which the values of its hysteresis parameters are to be determin
