Predictive Land Use Modelling in Litovelské Pomoraví PLA
Original language description
Change analysis is the first step in the process of landscape change modelling. The Geographical information system is a very powerful tool to manage and analyses land use data. This process determines the condition of the system on the basis of its previous condition and likelihood of changes which have occurred between them. Models of change serve as useful tools for exploring the various mechanisms by which land use change occurs by actually projecting the potential future environment and evaluatingthe impact. Literature described two basic types of spatially explicit land use change models: regression-type models and spatial transition-based models [10]. We used GIS and ANN for predicting the development of land-change in the near future. Our study area was the Litovelske Pomoravi protected land area. The basic input data were two layers of land use of the same area, although each from a different time horizon.
