The possibilities to enlarge the utilization of meat and bone meal in cement industry
Original language description
The research of P2O5 influence on properties of Portland cement clinker revealed three possible ways of affection of negative influence of P2O5 on formation of main clinker mineral - alite. Two ways are rather chemical and the third and the most considerable way is kinetic-mechanical. Reactions kinetics between clinker and meat and bone meal (MBM) ash showed that negative reactions and migration of P2O5 into clinker minerals can be limited by using undispersed carrier of P2O5. By that the negative influence on formation of alite is eliminated and it is possible to prepare high-quality cements from clinker with MBM ash relicts. Content of P2O5 in this clinker can be up to 10 wt. %.
