Anomalous arsenic concentrations in the Ďurkov carbonate geothermal srtucture, eastern Slovakia

  • Original language description

Concentrations of arsenic in carbonate reservoirs are generally low, but the Ďurkov structure is an exception. Here high dissolved arsenic concentrations were acquired in the overlying Neogene formation and carbonate structure serves only for accumulation of arsenic-rich geothermal waters. A conceptual model of hydrogeochemical evolution and geochemical modeling results are presented in the article.
