Original language description
This paper describes the mathematical and artistic discipline which is known as Origami. Firstly, we will deal with historical content and mathematical formalism that describes connection between mathematics and folding. The aim of the description is topresent some solutions, which origami can do instead of classical geometry, i.e. geometry with ruler and compass only. Secondly, we shall continue with the artistic part and get acquainted with some works of famous scientists and artists who perceive origami not only as properties of space but also as the philosophy of life as well.
