Original language description
Drilus rittneri sp. nov. is described from Israel and compared with its congeners from the Levant: Drilus adustus (Chevrolat, 1854), D. akbesianus (Fairmaire, 1895), D. bicolor Schaufuss, 1867, D. nemethi Kundrata, Kobieluszova & Bocak, 2014, D. rectus Schaufuss, 1867, and D. rufipes (Baudi di Selve, 1871).
