Exclusive Pion Production Measured by ATLAS at ps = 7 TeV
Original language description
A study of the exclusive pion production in the proton{proton collisions pp -> p +?+?- + p during special low luminosity LHC runs at p s = 7 TeV is presented. We present steps foregoing determination of a visible cross-section of the exclusive pion production. Pion products are detected by the ATLAS tracker detectors whereas outgoing protons are detected by ATLAS forward ALFA detectors. The event selection criteria and their e ect on MC and data are presented.
