Near semirings and semirings with involution
Original language description
In some applications, semirings cannot be used because the distributive law is valid only from one side and the multiplication need not be associative. We introduce a similar structure called a near semiring where only one sided distributive law is valid. When such a structure is equipped with an involution, it can serve as a representation of some so-called quantum structures.
