Distributed spatial database systems for sensor data
Original language description
Replication and synchronization of databases that can work with spatial data is one of the main tasks of a new era in Geographic Information System (or Science) and Big Data phenomenon. The first focus of this article is to provide information, about distributed spatial databases environment. The second focus is to evaluate options of replication solutions that are available and design a database solution that considers possibilities and requirements of the Department of Geoinformatics at Palacky University in Olomouc. The third focus is to provide a solution how to visualize enormous amount of meteorological data which are generated from sensors into a map by Python scripting. Results from this article provide basic insight into the problem of distributed databases in GIS. The design of the database solution was created and the main processes were tested. Python web server based on Flask and Folium packages provides visualisation of meteorological data.
