Autotuning procedure for energy modulation in Mössbauer spectroscopy
Original language description
An autotuning procedure for driving energy modulation in Mössbauer spectroscopy is described in details. This procedure is applicable for those velocity modulation units which provide a signal proportional to the velocity, e.g. double speaker linear motors. It eliminates manual tuning of PID parameters and, moreover, allows to operate the velocity modulation unit on any frequency, i.e. above, below or in a resonance. The proper performance of the procedure is demonstrated by the measurement of 12 μm α-iron Mössbauer spectra.
