    The Maharlu Lake is salt lake close to Shiraz, Iran. I suffered degradation of water quality. Ground water pumping in surrounding aquifers is reponsible for salt water intrusions from the lake. Principal geochemical processes in coastal aquifers have been identified. The contribution of the lake water has been estimated using the mixing equation.
