The report deals with local mechanical testing of Low-E multilayer thin films on a glass substrates. The indentation hardness and reduced modulus were measured using an instrumented indentation test. The adhesion-cohesion properties and coefficient of friction were studied by scratch tests with progressively increasing loads and multi-pass wear tests.
