The report summarizes the measurements of a given set of SiC samples (provided by Onsemi). Samples was detailed evaluation of mechanical properties was performed using micro and nano-indentation technique. Tribological resistance was evaluated using scratch test including the study of deformed contact surfaces. To better determine the dynamics of deformation and or fracture events in the samples, acoustic emissions were simultaneously recorded during tests.
