Original language description
The click-beetle tribe Dimini (Coleoptera: Elateridae: Dendrometrinae) from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China is studied. Twelve species are described as new: Csikia shihongliangi Qiu and Kundrata, new species, Csikia zhoushanyii Qiu and Kundrata, new species, Penia pixiu Qiu and Kundrata, new species, Penia yanhuang Qiu and Kundrata, new species, Penia yei Qiu and Kundrata, new species, Penia zhaoi Qiu and Kundrata, new species, Pseudocsikia congcongi Qiu and Kundrata, new species, Pseudocsikia jiquanyui Qiu and Kundrata, new species, Pseudocsikia qianlei Qiu and Kundrata, new species, Pseudocsikia qilin Qiu and Kundrata, new species, Pseudocsikia yangae Qiu and Kundrata, new species, Pseudocsikia zhilini Qiu and Kundrata, new species. Three species are newly recorded from Guangxi: Penia dolini Schimmel, 1999, Penia striata Schimmel, 1993, and Penia yunnana Schimmel, 1993. Habitus and male genitalia images of each species are given, and biology, ecology, and intraspecific variability of some species are discussed. In addition, two Csikia Szombathy species from insular Southeast Asia are transferred to Platiana Schimmel based on their original descriptions: Platiana kadazana (Bouwer, 1990), new combination and Platiana vespertina (Bouwer, 1991), new combination.
