    Powdery mildew on lettuce and wild Lactuca species.

  • Original language description

    The only one species of powdery mildew (Erysiphe cichoracearum DC.) is recently described on Lactuca spp. There is no significant variation in anamorph morphology of this pathogen on Lactuca sativa and wild Lactuca spp. As a natural hosts of powdery mildew are described L. muralis, L. perennis, L. quercina, L. saligna, L. serriola, L. sibirica, L. viminea and L. virosa. High variability of resistance to E. cichoracearum was detected in wild Lactuca spp.
