Linear difference operators in the space of strictly monotonic functions

  • Original language description

The classical theory of first-order linear functional and difference equations is obtained as a special case of the theory developed here. The setting is a special space S of continuous strictly monotonic functions. Iterative solution formulas are givenin for equations with constant and non-constant coefficients.
