The general aim of the research was to find out main somatic parameters and the motive efficiency level of boys and girls in 2008 in the Olomouc region. The set includes 1774 probands in total (898 boys, 876 girls) at the age of 6 to 13. Based on the research, the authors state that the body height and weight of boys and the body height of girls conform the reference values of 6th NAR, only girls at the age of 10 to 13 let were of significantly higher body weight, 10.2 % of boys are of very low weight,10.1 % of boys and 8.4 % of girls are to be found in the excessive weight category, 7.2 % of boys and 7.1 % of girls are classified as of the obesity BMI category. The motive efficiency of boys and girls does not reach the optimum level in the field of speed abilities, dynamically explosive abilities of lower limbs and strength-persistence abilities of abdominal muscles.
