A review of the Neotropical genus Cartagonum Pic, 1922 is given. C. bernardi Pic, 1922 isA review of the Neotropical genus Cartagonum Pic, 1922 is given. C. bernardi Pic, 1922 is redescribed and following two species - Cartagonum apiuba sp.n. and C. mayense sp.n. are proposed as new to science. New records are given and Cartagonum distribution is extended from Colombia to southern Mexico and southeastern Brazil.
