Studying Philosophy is Studying Culture
Original language description
The paper aims to support the assumption that a specific philosophical system represents a spiritual and intellectual, generalising transformation of the cultural phenomena of a given society, and at the same time that from the character of philosophy wecan gather the character of spiritual culture. In the European context it attempts to show the consequences of continental rationalism on one side and British empiricism on the other, especially with regard to German philosophy. Through this prism alsomodern Czech philosophy is reflected.
