International Term Elements in Creation of Terminology of ICT.
Original language description
The study deals with the actual practice in creation of terms of ICT using international term elements. It shows that the trend of internationalization of terminology is strongly expressed also in the terminology of ICT. The study shows that nowadays notonly term elements of Greek and Latin elements are used, but also terms and term elements of English origin. A special attention is devoted to systematizing prefixes, prefixoids, suffixes and suffixoids in the term creation. Both terminologization of common words, i. e. giving them an exact sense, and determinologization of terms, i. e. opposite case can take place. Many hybrid connections of international elements and national term elements take place. Some typical ways of creation of terms with examples in several languages are presented.
