The main goal of the study is presenting the results of the empirical research in the field of the tonal perception within the scope of the grant project "Perception of the tonal centre in ambiguous tonal environment". In terms of classifying the music genre, the examined music material is rated as art and progressive rock. In the end up-to-date observations from the field of quality of the tonally harmonic perception in unambiguous tonal environment will be presented.
