The contribution deals with the problem of social enterprise for people with mental disabilities, which was addressed by the project "The initiation analysis of the inclusion conditions for people with special needs" under the student grant competition at Palacky University in Olomouc, number PdF_2013_016. The first section introduces the specifics of adults with mental disabilities and outlines the issues of social enterprise, which lead the integration of an individual. The second part presents the results of an investigation concerning the status and importance of social enterprises for people with mental disabilities in the Czech Republic. People who set up this platform and spread it furthers, are an important tool. For this purpose were determined several milestones that collect and analyze this information. A benefit and some pitfalls that can serve as a warning to other founders have been found.
