Original language description
Deputy head teacher plays a major role in managing the school, particularly in creating the positive atmosphere for the development of the school. The main aim of this study is thus to explore the role of the deputy head teacher through comparisons of different roles of head teachers and deputy head teachers in school management and leadership theoretically and then to present the research plan for capturing concept of deputy head teachers ? role in Czech relatively autonomous schools. On the basis of the method of time frame, the preliminary results show that the role of deputy head teacher has "administrate burden" on one hand, on the other hand, their role makes it difficult for the person to work concurrently as a teacher in the school.
