Conclusion: The average age of the onset of menarche in girls in the Czech Republic is 13 years, usually 2.3 + 1 years after the start of breast development and approximately 1 year after the maximum growth speed is achieved. In our study, most girls (26.47%) reported the age of menarche of 14.59 years. In the questioned girls, the menstruation cycle repeated between 25.19 and 40.55 days; menstrual bleeding lasted between 4.71 and 5.75 days. In our study it was observed that girls start to use hormonalcontraception at the age of 14 years. With increasing age the number of users of hormonal contraception increases.
